It all happened in the late 19th century in Malmesbury, which is somewhere in eastern Australia. Killian and
Ashling O’Doherty (portrayed by Michael
Fassbender and Morven Christie) have lived happily with their
twin sons, Liam
and Niall (both portrayed by Jack
Reynor), until the bushrangers murdered the O'Doherty couple in a raid since they both refused to co-operate with a corrupt official.
Fortunately, Superintendent
Ciaran Gallagher (portrayed by Alex
O'Loughlin) came to the rescue and he raised Niall alone.
Meanwhile, Ujang
& Melor Sulong (portrayed by Stephen Rahman-Hughes and Sofia Jane) raised
Lachlan as their own son, and they renamed him Megat, and they have a son called Demang
(portrayed by Aeril Zafrel). Now they only have each other and their friends. The time will come when the
twins unite and fight those who are responsible for the gross injustice against
them. Amongst them was a young Englishwoman, Eleanor Holloway (portrayed by Sophie Lowe), who supports them.
